DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
Pickup from your hotel in Arusha then drive 2 hours towards Lake Manyara National Park where you will enjoy a full day game drive with a boxed-lunch pick nick. Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its tree climbing lions and stunning views over the colorful lake, which is a paradise for flamingos. While most known for baboons, the lake is also home to herbivores such as hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, warthogs and giraffes. Giant fig trees and mahogany seen in the groundwater forest immediately around the park gates draw nourishment from the underground springs replenished continuously from crater highlands directly above the Manyara basin. The Great Rift Valley offers another beautiful geological and historical feature, being the site at which Lewis Leaky discovered the earliest humans fossils. Dinner and overnight at lodge or campsite.
Early morning eat breakfast before heading towards the one of the most beautiful places in the world, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site,Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongorois also referred to as being the ‘Gardenof Eden’ or the ‘Ark of Noah’. The crater provides the home for the big five, wild beasts, zebras and an uncountable number of gazelles and thousands of flamingos. For lunch stop and pic-nic along side hippos at a lake in the crater. Dinner and overnight at lodge or campsite.
After breakfast, we pack up and head for Tarangire National Park, also known as the “Home of Elephants” where you will begin your morning game drive in the park. Our guide will go to his favorite areas to catch some spectacular views of the zebras, giraffes and elephants that live in the park. A picnic lunch will be served under the mighty Boabab trees, before you head back out for one last game drive, hopefully able to tick off a few last minute animal sightings on your list. After a full afternoon on safari, we finally depart to make our way back to Arusha for the evening.
